The metals found in wine can come from the fruit, as well as from the machinery used. These metals include aluminum, copper, vanadium, manganese, nickel, zinc, chromium, steel, lead, tin. Some are easily soluble (Fe, Zn), others difficult or practically insoluble (Cu, Al, Pb, Sn).
In the particular case of Argentina, the tenth largest exporter of wines, concentrations of metals such as manganese, lead, molybdenum and cobalt have been found, according to studies carried out by renowned Latin American universities.

With regard to metal detection in wine, in the TASQA-Ceimic Argentina laboratory, analyzes are carried out, through inductive plasma coupling and mass spectrometry, to guarantee the level of quality and safety for consumers, according to the corresponding regulations.

This methodology is endorsed by the International Wine Organization – OIV (Method OIV-MA-AS323-07); Likewise, our analyzes are accredited by A2LA and ISO 17025.
